Going even deeper into the mind, body, and spirit balance is a very, very cool thing that they did.
The year after they had done that, that exercise or experiment with the Indonesian army where they won all the battalion contests, they decided to see, “Hey, how can we apply this to the mind?” And so they wanted a clean slate. They got a group of 9th graders, which would be freshmen in high school, and they decided to teach them Merpati Putih maintenance and power building and meditation techniques, and apply them to school.
What ended up happening is they took these 9th graders, they taught them how to integrate and synchronize both hemispheres of their brain using our exercises and meditations, and then proceeded to put them through all four years of high school in one year. They decided to continue the experiment, and the next year they put them through all four years of college in one year. So, basically, these kids started off as 9th graders. By the time they were supposed to be 11th graders, they are actually college degrees, in the workforce, earning more than their parents.
And it’s such a crazy environment in so much of Indonesia. There’s so much poverty. You will seriously end up with 10 people sleeping on a tile floor in a room that’s way smaller than most of our living rooms or kitchens.
Very, very, very tight conditions. There’s not a whole lot of luxury. Here these kids are 11th graders and all of a sudden they are earning more than their parents and helping support their families. It was absolutely a miracle for them and their experience.
At that time, they really started to apply this hemispheric synchronization and turning the brainwaves into a learning pattern in a different way. And so if they can do that in their life, what can we do with it if we apply this in our lives? What are you focused on? What do you really want to get in your endeavors?
